Crimson Robe

(an amateurish prologue)

I feel it
The need to separate
To distance and make known
The aberrations by which I live
Grip them till I bleed
And with the crimson I shall paint upon this robe

Resisting
The forces which lead us
To empty uniformity
White upon white, monochromatic paint
I’d rather spill some blood
Cast off this blinding paleness
Fear not who we are
Fear what we will become
Reach deep and retrace
The origins of our uniformity
Beautiful disorder we’ll inevitably return to
Cast this white robe off
Cause I fear
Lest I forget
Lest I forget

What do you do when you go down the well and find it dry?
Safe asleep in this cocoon
Knowing every inch of this existence
Yet longing for a bloom (sic)
Longing for Longinus to pierce;
Destroy this shell and let me bleed out
Creep out; seeking
For solace from all the rest
